She Said: To Botox or Not to Botox?

Mom Monica Bielanko ponders whether she should get Botox or not, even though she used to be so against it. Can you relate? #shesaid

Don't overthink it or worry about the larger implications. Botox done right is no big deal and doesn't change your face in a substantial way at all. It just makes you look well-rested (and erases Bitchy Resting Face, if you have it). Try it. If you write about it, you should be able to possibly claim it as a business expense.

Not now, for you anyway. Nothing against very well-placed botox in small quantities, but looking as you do, a young mid-30's, it will age you rather than make you look better. It's a peculiar thing, but younger women who use it look... older and frozen. Look at Megan whatshername, the one hot dark haired girl married to Brian Austin Green, and there are a lot of other examples. You have a lovely face, it's not unduly lined, you don't have terrible frown lines (I know one lady, not yet 40, who has a deep, angry vertical frown from being short-sighted. Botox has stopped her from looking permanently sour and furious), but you don't need it. Maybe in 5 years, not now.

im 40, and had no clue others my age are considering it, let alone doing it. i feel waaay too young to even think about aging, yet i know i won't mess with mother nature when i start to think about it. im too cheap for botox anyway. ;)

I'm with you on never doing it. Although it isn't something I can afford anyway, I agree that aging naturally is the right thing for me. Women with altered faces look odd to me. I'm 50 so I think right at the brink of feeling old. And, like you I do dye my gray hair, but that is not a forever decision. I very well might stop doing that when my gray is more pronounced.

Interesting topic - it is strange what becomes the norm.

I love Botox! Also got a little Restalyn to fill in those deep laugh lines, and I am about to turn 37. As long as I can afford it, I am gonna do it! But chemincal peels, well they plain old hurt! lol I will defy the act of growing old as long as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you like your lines (which are not visible, in this video anyway) then don't get it! I get it b/c I DON'T like lines and crows feet on my face. But I get what you are saying about society etc. The truth is that Botox is kind of a magic bullet, if there ever was one. Hard to ignore how effective it is!
