Honestly... I don't really see much of a difference. :( Your hair looks nice, but... not dirty blonde.

It definitely looks lighter. I hope you're happy w/ it.

March 14, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterChrissy

It is definitely lighter - but hard to tell how light, maybe because of the lighting.

BUT what a great thing that a) you called, and b) you actually went and had them re-do it. That's victory in and of itself. Way to go.

On another note - I have been following your blog for sometime. I share your pain on the acne front. My skin has never been perfect, but it has been really unstable since I had a child. For various medical reasons, I can't take birth control pills, so for a few years I was on a low-dose antibiotic that helped, but I eventually grew immune to it. I've been trying everything since having to stop taking it.

I finally decided to re-jig my diet to see if that can help. I have cut white sugar, meat and dairy. I know - that's really extreme and definitely not for everyone. It seems to have helped a tonne though - that could just be my body reacting to a change, or it could be a permanent positive effect - who knows. I just throw it over to you as information for you to consider.

It does look lighter, but its still not what I would consider dark blonde although it is pretty close to Jennifer Aniston color. It looks nice.

March 14, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJenC

It is a nice dirty blond with highlights...healthy looking. This is a good look for you and will be easy to touch up when your roots come in. You can even use one of those cheaper root touch up kits which come in a honey brown in between...less than 10 bucks. Good with your skin tone also. Nice work!.

It's definitely lighter! More SJP than Jen Anniston, but most importantly, VERY flattering on your skin tone, in my opinion. Your blue eyes POP!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJenny

to be honest, it doesn't exactly look blonde, more like you got some highlights. but I agree, the point is that you called and made them redo it :)

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommentermcC

nice! definitely lighter, hopeful you feel definitely better, don't you? :)

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterana_jo

Much better, you look great, did well to go back!

And you probably feel liberated as well.... you don't have to be Massively Passive anymore!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterP

It looks lovely....natural, like you've been in the sun. Should you want to go lighter in the summer, it would be easy to add more blonde without it being glaringly noticeable. Well done, Monica!!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCarole

Looks the same to me. Sorrys!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJen

It looks so much lighter! Great color on you!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commentercdawnh

Looks great - I hope you like it too. By the way - you are GORGEOUS! I would die for your cheekbones - and those baby blues. :-)

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKeenie Beanie

It is not only lighter, but it is livelier. Congrats on standing up for yourself!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAnna Marie

It does look a bit lighter than before and looks nice.

Do you like it? That's all that really matters!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterShelly

It's lighter...

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterThe Domestic Goddess

While it is not super blonde (but that's not what you're going for, right??) it does look really natural and lively. And you won't have a problem letting it grow out a bit - it will still lock natural. Good job, I say! And definitely good job on calling them back and getting it fixed.

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAlexandra E.

Looks good. It's a subtle difference, but is pretty. Are you glad you had it fixed?

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKaren

gorgeous! it's definitely lighter and glad to see you looking happier.

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterchristine from canada

Its a bit lighter but I think in both pictures the highlights are much chunkier. I wouldn't call the highlights dark blond but I see where both have darker base colors. Also, I'm guessing Jen had a very heavy foil in her pic. I'd say light to pale blond. SJP has a few face framing light blond chunks. But you said you brought your pictures, right?

I think they gave you a very natural high lights. The pieces are natural looking and on the bright side as someone pointed out, it will be much easier to maintain! Next time maybe you could just have them throw in a few foils right in the front to save some $ too.

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commenteract

I'm glad you chose to have it re-done! your hair looks amazing and you look happy with it, as you clearly should be!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAdrienne Armstrong

How do you feel about it? It looks a bit lighter but is it what YOU wanted? Hope you are happier and more than that proud of yourself....congrats....I know that was hard for you!

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermah

Beautiful! I love it because it looks great and also doesn't seem like it would be a fortune to maintain. Which is exactly what I'm going for these days,

And yay to you for going back. That's hard, I've never done it. I should have, many times

March 15, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterkds

I think it is really pretty. I definately don't think it is blonde though. How frustrating!! I think you need to find a different stylist..one that does what you ask!

Good for you to speak up! That is a big deal and one you should be proud of!

March 16, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJaimee

Your daughter looks so much like you - I see it more from these pics! Beautiful!
