Monica Bielanko
A chronicle since 2005 of my marriage & move to Brooklyn in my twenties; becoming a mother in my thirties; moving to Pennsylvania and learning to amicably coparent after divorce in my forties while living 3 doors down from my ex-husband in a small country town.

Dinner at the Bielankos

"I'm hungry."

"Me too."

"Whadya want for dinner?"

"I don't know, what do you want?"

"Thai Tai?"

"We always have Thai Tai.. Coconut curry sauce runs through your veins..."

"Well.. tacos?

"We could.. outta meat though. We'd have to go shopping."

"Lotta trouble that is.. Pizza?"

"Blech! Too fattening. What about ordering Mexican takeout, like nachos!

"Cuz that's not fattening? What about chinese takeout?"

"Too much like Thai Tai.. Spaghetti?"

"Too many carbs."

"We could order burritos for delivery?"

"Too expensive!"

"Just pick something! I don't care! I'm hungry!"

"You just pick something!"

"You!"

"Yoooou!"

"Uuuuhhh!"

"Uuuuuuhhhhhhhh!"

"Thai Tai?"

"Okay."

HA HA HA...if you replace an option or two with KFC(although I would love ME some Thai Tai),sounds quite similar to the menu planning of me and my beloved.

That is why I PLAN! LOL
Like yesterday, I went home at lunch and peeled potatoes, and put them around a nice roast, put a couple of cloves of garlic in it, spread the potatoes around, put some onion soup mix around it, put some water in, put on the lid, pop it in the over on 275, by the time I got home at 5:15 it was DONE and fabulous!
Didn't know I was a suzy homemaker!
My boyfriend is from Scotland, and used to going and getting groceries everyday! Usually he would get organic stuff, so it is quite a shock to him! But I still love him! :)

That is so funny - sounds exactly like my boyfriend and me. "What do you want honey" - "Oh, i don't know - anything really".- and then we go down the list - nixing each suggestion - until we're back at square one. Fun fun fun!

Sounds like every evening at our house. We even get into full-fledged fights over where to eat. Its ridiculous.
